Product Inspection Services for Each Stage of Production

Choose the inspection point that matches production progress: IPI at 5–10%, DPI at 30–50%, FRI after production is complete and at least 80% is packed, or loading supervision on loading day.

5–10% produced

Initial Production Inspection

Check the first finished units, materials, components, dimensions and workmanship before the factory produces the full order.

Initial Production Inspection service
30–50% produced

During Production Inspection

Check mass production while the factory is still producing. Problems found at this stage can still be corrected on the remaining units.

During Production Inspection service
100% produced / 80%+ packed

Final Random Inspection

Randomly sample finished goods and check defects, function, quantity, labels and packing before shipment.

Final Random Inspection service
Loading day

Container Loading Supervision

Be at the loading site to check the container, carton count, packing condition, loading process and seal number.

Files we usually check against

PO, specification, approved sample, drawings, packing files and any buyer checklist or packing standard.

What the report should show

Defects, measurements, on-site test results, quantity status, packaging checks and clear photo evidence.

On-site checks

What Our Product Inspection Team Checks On Site

We check against the PO, specification, approved sample, drawings and packing files you provide. For sampled inspections, sample size follows the buyer-approved inspection level and sampling plan, including ISO 2859-1 / ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 when this standard is agreed for the order.

Workmanship and appearance

Scratches, dents, stains, poor assembly, seams, finish, color differences and other visible defects.

Dimensions, weight and specifications

We measure the agreed points and compare the results with your drawings or specification.

Function and on-site tests

We run the agreed function checks and simple on-site tests when the factory has the required setup.

Quantity, labels and packaging

We check SKU quantity, cartons, markings, labels and packing against your approved files.

Barcode / QR-code verificationWhen it is included in the approved scope, we check readability and encoded information against the buyer-approved requirement.
Multi-SKU ordersFor orders with many models, colors or sizes, the report should clearly show which SKUs were sampled and how many were checked.

If your order has many models, colors or sizes, see our multi-SKU inspection guide.

Factory audit

Factory Audit and Supplier Evaluation Before Bulk Orders

A product inspection tells you about the goods. A factory audit tells you more about the supplier behind the goods. We visit the site and check the areas and records included in your audit scope.

Factory EvaluationCheck company details, factory site, production areas, equipment and actual operating conditions.
QMS AuditReview selected records for incoming materials, production, testing, calibration, defective goods and corrective action.
Social & Ethical AuditCheck working conditions and supplier compliance against the agreed audit checklist.
Supplier background checkCheck registered information, operating status and whether the declared business matches the available records.

Before a bulk order, you may also want to read our supplier risk assessment guide.

Laboratory testing

Laboratory Testing for Checks That Cannot Be Completed On Site

Chemical, material, safety and some performance tests cannot be done properly during normal factory inspection. We can arrange the required laboratory testing based on the product and test requirement.

Not sure whether the job needs inspection or lab testing? See Product Testing vs. Product Inspection.

Staff member checking product components with laboratory equipment at a test workbench
Typical coordination scope

Material, chemical, food-contact, safety and restricted-substance testing based on the product and market requirement.

How the test is selected

We match the test plan to the product material, end use, destination market and any buyer or regulatory requirement you provide.

When lab testing helps

Use it when normal on-site inspection cannot confirm the required chemical, safety or performance point properly.

Sampling and result

AQL Sampling, Defect Classification and Inspection Decisions

ISO 2859-1 / ANSI-ASQ Z1.4

Used for random sampling when this sampling standard is agreed for the inspection.

Critical / Major / Minor

Defects are recorded as critical, major or minor based on the agreed criteria.

You make the shipment decision

We report the result. You decide whether to ship, rework, recheck or hold the order.

Inspection Findings from Real Orders

Three concise case records show the observed issue, factory action and re-inspection outcome.

Plastic Building Blocks

Finding
Small protruding parts detached during a pull test below the stated 90 N threshold.
Corrective action
The batch was held and the factory reinforced the affected parts across the units.
Re-inspection result
A factory re-inspection was arranged; the reworked batch passed the recorded re-inspection.

Bluetooth Earphones

Finding
About 4% of inspected samples showed unstable Bluetooth connection or microphone failure; PCB soldering defects were identified as the cause.
Corrective action
Photos and test videos were reported, and the factory reworked the units and adjusted soldering process parameters.
Re-inspection result
The reworked order passed the recorded re-inspection.

Children’s Printed T-Shirts

Finding
The print area failed the wet-rubbing colorfastness check recorded in the case file.
Corrective action
The factory changed the printing ink and reproduced the affected batch.
